Zanzibar Music Festival
The official name of this annual music festival
on the island of Zanzibar is "Sauti za Basara"
It is held every February on the grounds of the historic Old
Fort in Stone Town. It is one of the largest music
festivals in Africa.

Busara Promotions
Organization founded in 2003 to
"promote and develop opportunities for local and international
music and performing artists within the East African region,
work to strengthen the local arts infrastructure and build
networks internationally, for the social, cultural and
economic growth of Africa and the dhow region"
Their main event every year is the above described Sauti za Basara.
