Outamba-Kilimi National Park
National park with savannah and jungle areas.
Wildlife in the park include chimpanzees, baboons,
several species of monkeys, leopard, elephant, buffalo,
bush pig, bushbuck, duikers, jackals, crocodiles,
hippopotamus, and mmore then 200 species of birds.
Activities in the park include hippo and other wildlife viewing,
fishing, and walking safaris. Local guides are available,
but find out in advance if they speak your language.
Very rustic and basic overnight accommodations are available
in several huts and tents.
Outamba-Kilimi National Park is located about a nine hour drive
from Freetown, in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone.
