Information about the islands of the Canary Islands. The Canary Islands are part of the Macaronesia eco-region which also includes the Azores Cape Verde, Madeira, and the Savage Isles.

Tenerife Island
North is well-vegetated, south is dry. The popular tourist resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are in the dry southern end of the island. Tenerife island rises 4000 meters above sea level.
