Francistown City and Urban District
Information about the Francistown, the sedond
largest city in Botswana. Francistown is located
in Eastern Botswana, about 250 miles northeast of
Gabarone, Botswana's capital city. It is situated
nat the point where the Tati River and Inchwe River come
together. It is also near the Shashe River, which
is a tributary tot he Limpopo River. It is about
90 kilometers from the Botswana-Zimbabwe border.
The city is perhaps most well-known for being the
center of the first gold rush in Southern Africa.
